This week saw the first of two workshops, hosted by The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery in Stoke-on-Trent that I am involved in, the second being on Saturday 18th September.

The first workshop that took place on Monday 23rd August, had a Victorian theme, and the project was to make a little 1/12th scale parasol, a mini notebook or storybook....or even both as many did!

What was so great about the day was the variety in ages and abilities turning up to get involved, (from tots to OAP's) and have some fun with miniatures.

 Don't forget to come along on Saturday 18th    September anytime between 10am and 12pm if you want to join in our second workshop, which will have a WWII Life on the Home Front theme.

This month I've been really busy with a Wedding cake topper, 2 Doll's house commissions and more! As well as keeping the website running I was asked to scuplt a personalised Mickey & Minnie Cake topper to tie in with a 3 tier Wedding cake (see Gallery pictures for the finished result).

    Once Mickey and Minnie were well on the way, the 2 Doll's houses needed to be decorated and lit. If this wasn't enough there was also a Teddy Bear's picnic to make food supplies for, miniature cupcakes to create for a talented jewellry maker, and a Graduation figure to scuplt for a newly qualified Barrister!....Phew!

The great thing about Home petite Home is the variety, and also the challenge of working on different projects.

My husband and daughter went to spy out the Like Love - Part three exhibit at the local museum...!!!

      The exhibit opened just over a week ago and all the videos are now working. The final film shows me making breads and adding them to a set of shelves.

Well, I've had quite a busy month recently. International artist Sonia Boyce completed filming at our house for her latest project Like Love Part Three. (See Press Release on Beyond Home petite Home page) Sonia and Judy (on camera) spent a good part of the day filming and interviewing me! So I thought I'd get my own back by taking some behind the scenes photographs of them hard at work.
